Developed in the 1930s for the United States Army Air Corps, the four-engine B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bomber was often equipped with up to 13 .50-caliber machine guns at once. Distinguishing features of the "G" variant - the final version - included a Bendix remotely-operated chin turret and revised, remotely-operated tail gun turrets. An estimated 8,680 "G" aircraft were produced and many were converted for other uses, including troop transports and recon aircraft.

The M1151 is built on an Expanded Capacity Vehicle (ECP) chassis that allows for more passengers or for carrying additional supplies.

U.S. Cougar 6x6 MRAP vehicle, developed by U.S. company Force Protection Inc., is an armored vehicle which can withstand roadside bombs attacks and ambushes. In 2004, Cougar started to serve in U.S. armed forces. It's mainly used for scouting, transporting troops, commanding, towing heavy guns, repairing projects and rescuing. In November of the same year, Cougar vehicles with the 1st Marine Division of United Stated Marine Corps stationed in Iraq took part in the Battle of Fallujah.

The 9K37M1 first appeared in 1983, this variant featured a great improvement of the combat & command platform. Thanks to its hydraulic transmission & torsion bar suspension, the chassis has a strong cross-country capability & can carry the BUK air defense system whilst accompanying the armored units.
The BUK has an independent fire control radar, identification Friend or Foe equipment & information exchange system & is armed with the 9M38M1 surface-to-air missile that is powered by a solid fuel engine & has a shooting range of 35km & altitude of 22km.
